We deliver Payroll Services with a system that has an automatic backup. Every time an update is done in our Primary Server, the same update would have happened in our Backup Server. And it didn’t stop there. Another Remote Back-up Server in our Remote Disaster Recovery Site (DRC) would have showed the same exact update. This is an implementation of our Business Continuity Procedure (BCP). We know there is nothing more important than extra security resulting in your peace of mind when it comes to payroll data safekeeping and payroll execution. To accomplish that end, we have reinforced our back up storage system ready to preserve data in the occurrence of flooding, fires, and even earthquakes. The security of your data is not only guaranteed through our high level disaster protection, but also through our multi-site storage units. Your data is as important to us as it is to you; there is no room for surprises.
Three types of back up operations
1. System back up
Will be done automatically every month or whenever there are new updates on the Operating System objects or configurations. The data will be stored in two back up medias located at the Data Center and the DRC site.
2. Application back up
Will be done automatically every month or whenever there are new updates on the M-Resource and GPS application objects. The data will be stored in two back up medias located at the Data Center and the DRC site.
3. Data back up (online and offline)
This is performed in two ways. The first is the back up that is performed automatically everyday, guided by a scheduled script and personnel, from the primary server to the secondary server in the Data Center of GASI. The second is the data transfer from our secondary system into an external encrypted hard disk, CD, and to our DRC site.
- The first back up media placed at GASI central office
- The second back up media placed at our DRC site
- The third back up media placed at our remote back up location
In line with the BCP compliance, GASI went live in February 2012 to facilitate an online data back up to the DRC site using a dedicated high bandwidth local loop (2Gbps). This will provide extra assurance that any transactions occurring in the database within the primary server at GASI will be backed up in tertiary server at the GASI DRC site.
